Sara (Educator):
"Many professional, highly-trained mentors in hair replacement have taught me as well as my clients! By listening intently to my clients' concerns, desires, and feedback, I grew my technical skill set as well as my problem-solving skills."
Hair replacement clients are men, women, and children that have fine or thinning hair. They find the service they need by doing research online to connect with someone who specializes in hair replacement. Also, you get clients by word-of-mouth.
It is very normal to be nervous to come in for a consultation. Rest assured that our suite is private and blends with the many other salon suites around it! No one will know what you are there for if you do not want them to. Please feel free to reach out over the phone, email, or text before you decide to book a consultation to get to know us better and so we can answer any questions you have!
There are many insurance policies that cover reimbursement up to a certain amount per year for hair replacement (called 'cranial prothesis' for insurance purposes) if you have a diagnosis from a doctor! The diagnosis is usually alopecia. If you are reviewing your insurance policy and do not see coverage for cranial prothesis, that does not mean you do not have it. Call your insurance company to get pre-authorized. Contact us for assistance in gathering your documents to file your claim.
Their need is to feel confident because hair loss can have a significant impact on their confidence.

Sara (Educator):
"I saw a need in the industry for more hairstylists to have education on hair replacement. I believe there are so many people out there to help with hair replacement and not enough hair stylists to do it! I also saw a need for an advanced hair replacement course to help those who already do hair replacement to elevate their technical and interpersonal skills to another level."
Our courses will prepare you for a variety of situations that stylists encounter when helping a client with hair loss. Taking the Intro course will give someone a broad understanding of hair replacement and all of the options available for attachment methods and techniques. The course is quick (2 days), loaded with best practice tips and tricks, and tons of hands-on work.
Included in the Intro course are 10 hours of instruction (split up into 2 days), a manual, a quick reference flip chart, a completion certificate, a kit with a mannequin, supplies and hair to practice with.
The intro course is designed for someone who has hair cutting/coloring experience. A beginner could take the course and be able to use the knowledge as they are developing their cutting and coloring skills, but pro stylists will be able to hit the ground running!
The Intro course is 2 days (5-6 hours each day). The Intermediate course is 1 day (5-6 hours), and the Advanced course is 1 day (5-6 hours). There are online options for students that like to watch and practice at their own pace. Also, express classes can be fully customizable to which techniques you want to learn! Just reach out and we can plan out an option that fits you!
What sets these courses apart from somewhere else is that they are stylist based versus vendor-based, meaning they are not biased towards one technique or product. Sara's curriculum is unique and copyrighted. The cirruculum was written by Sara as a Master Hair Replacement Stylist, with the best practices and pro tips that she has learned throughout her career of working with hair replacement clients and training stylists.

These courses are offered at a private suite in Novi, Michigan. Also, salons are welcome to book a class to host in their location. You will want to bring your cutting tools: clippers, trimmers, and shears.
After the course, you will want to decide where they will want to get hair from. We can help you with that or you can do that on your own. You will also want to gather basic supplies, but many supplies can be ordered for a client when they come in for consultation. Also, we offer a 90 day mentoring and coaching program that can be a tailored plan for X number of hours per week of one-on-one instruction to fast-track stylists to success.
We give a full list of supplies needed to do this on your own in the Intro course, mostly small items but the most important tools you will need will be 44/20 barbering thinning shears which come in your kit, canvas blocks with clamps, and some sample hair to show clients.
There is an opportunity for stylists to have a client in their chair every 2-4 weeks, loyally. Most bonded hair replacement wearers need (not want) service! By adding this to your service menu, you will be able to help more people that have fine or thin hair by giving them the hair of their dreams and at the same time grow your loyal clientele!
